Interventional Radiology

Overview
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. There are many common procedures that can be performed using IR, and many of them can be performed on an outpatient basis. Physicians performing IR procedures use small needles or catheters guided by real-time imaging to diagnose or treat a particular condition inside the body.

Many IR procedures use the most advanced equipment and imaging available. Patients can also have out patient consultations and venous procedures at Veradia Interventional Radiology and Vein Center (www.veradiacenter.com).
